For many people, Labor Day and the start of fall might signal a return to the everyday routine. But not for us!
Cocoa Beach provides the ultimate, year-round vacation (or staycation) destination. And in fact, fall is one of the best times to visit! See what makes the season so special in today’s blog.
Admire the changing colors
Florida may not be as known for rich, vibrant fall hues as its neighbors to the north… but don’t let it be said that our colors don’t change at all during this time of the year! You’ll see visual changes in some trees later in the fall—keep an eye out for red maple or cypress trees especially, whether you’re seeing them from above or below.
Another key feature that changes color during Florida’s cooler weather? The sky! While we see cloud-dotted skies through much of the summertime, the drier air of fall lends itself to a crisper atmosphere and clear, vibrant blue skies you can’t help but ogle at.
Rock out
Autumn in Cocoa Beach is a great place to be for music lovers! You can catch live 80s music at the Cocoa Beach Oceanfront September 22nd through the 24th, for an exciting “80s in the Park” event that will make your time here even more memorable.
Meet Florida’s favorite cool-weather residents
Wildlife in Florida is always something to marvel at… but the fall season marks the peak season for one of our favorite cool-weather residents, the manatee! You’ll be able to see even more of these gentle “sea cows” starting in November. The Beachside Special and Classic Tour are two great ways to see manatees from up above this fall.
Now that you know a bit more about our Central Florida fall, come and experience it for yourself! We can’t wait to help you and your family see an all-new side of your favorite shoreline.
